ISO Standards New On-line Browsing Platform

Are we glad to see this!  You can also preview the content before buying.

ISO has just released a new, improved version of its Online Browsing Platform, giving users the ability to preview over 1,000 ISO standards (and their translations, where available, making a total of over 2,000 documents), graphical symbols, codes, and terms and definitions.

The Online Browsing Platform is another step for ISO in implementing state-of-the-art technologies for publishing International Standards. Based on extensible markup language (XML), this new platform provides standards users and standards developers with a simpler, faster, and better way to use ISO standards and publications.

The goal is to have 30 % of the ISO collection of standards converted by the end of 2012, with the entire portfolio converted by the end of 2013.

It allows you to:

  • Preview the available sections of over 1000 ISO standards*, including the foreword, table of contents, introduction, scope and bibliographical references;
  • Access the most up to date content;
  • Run full-text searches;
  • Use advanced filtering options;
  • Preview content before buying.

To use the Online Browsing Platform go to www.iso.org/obp.  Happy Browsing!
