Walter Tighe, President Sustaining Edge Solutions, Inc.

WalterWalter Tighe is President/Owner of Sustaining Edge Solutions, Inc. a veteran-owned business and has thirty years’ expertise in business systems development and improvement in both manufacturing and transactional environments.  His experience includes government, defense, automotive, semiconductors, customer service, electronics, mechanical, medical, logistics, aerospace, nonprofit and private services enterprises.

Walter has a MBA, University of Redlands and  is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants, a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality, and is an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence.  As a management consultant improving operational and quality system performance his clients have included Intel, Raytheon Systems, Solon, MedAire International, B/E Aerospace, Sandia National Laboratories, Freescale Semiconductor, Motorola, and Cisco Systems. As a Quality Manager with the Department of Defense he led the first DoD Kaizen Lean Manufacturing program saving over $6 million in operating costs.

He has worked with numerous companies enhancing the competitive advantage of business through strategy deployment, process improvement, design and implementation of global business management systems and effective performance measurement. Walter has been instrumental in saving clients millions of dollars in reduced operating costs and improving customer satisfaction. Walter has third party registrar auditor experience with International Certifications and Moody International, both Global Management Systems Registrars, and he is an Exemplar Global Certified Quality Management Systems Auditor. He has conducted numerous third party audits, and has delivered quality systems training to diverse organizations. Walter is a Six Sigma Black Belt and has a broad range of experience in the areas of implementation consulting, process improvement and systems integration.

Dennis Stambaugh, Senior Management Consultant


Dennis Stambaugh has over 30 years in senior leadership roles within business organizations. Dennis brings extensive knowledge on a systems perspective and the use of quality frameworks to drive continuous improvement. His background includes organizational effectiveness assessments, senior leader coaching and implementation of customer-focused quality management systems. As a National Baldrige Examiner and Regional Judge, his review of state and national applicants from diverse business sectors brings the sharing of best practices learned from high performing organizations.

Recognized as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Dennis has held positions as Chief Quality Officer, Chief Network Officer, Corporate Director for Post Acute Care, and Chief Executive Officer. In his role as Chief Quality Officer, he led the University of Missouri Health Care System performance improvement efforts using the Baldrige Framework. In 2011 his organization was recognized with the Missouri State Quality Award.

Dennis has led organizational transformation efforts for establishing a Customer-Focused culture, improving customer and employee engagement satisfaction, including implementing a Performance Management System balanced scorecard and an Enterprise Data Warehouse. His further experience includes supply chain management, strategic planning, and operational effectiveness.

Dennis has served on the Board of Examiners for the Baldrige Award, as well as currently serving on the Panel of Judges for the Southwest Alliance for Excellence, the Baldrige based Program serving Arizona, Utah and Nevada. Dennis earned a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Texas Women’s University, and a Bachelor’s degree in University Studies from the University of New Mexico. He is the coauthor of Quality Improvement Basics; An Introduction to Healthcare Management.
